Moving Home
On a domestic removal one of the most important issues when the removal van arrives at your new home is the
keys, we now insist that you have the keys by 14:00 hrs, as you can appreciate if you don’t have the keys
until 15:00 hrs or later the removal crew will then run into overtime, which is expensive and an additional cost you will be
liable for should the crew exceed 18.00 hrs.

Call our office on 0800 136 332 to discuss your move requirements and to schedule a visual survey.

and if unpacking is required all debris will be removed. Once the removal is complete you will be asked to complete a
customer report to grade our service, this may be completed at the completion of the removal or mailed to us in the
following days.

The first set of moving terms you will have heard mentioned is the method of movement 20 ft / 40 ft contatiners, these
are steel shipping containers which are used for large consignments, a 20ft container holds a volume of 30 m3 ( 1059 cubic
feet) or a 40ft, 65 m3 (2300 cubic feet) plus they are larger enough to include an automobile if required. Another term
used is Part Load or Groupage, this indicates that your consignment will be transported with other consignments to the
final destination, this is a lower cost method, and not restricted to time scales. For further details please consult your
surveyor. All overseas consignments are Inventoried before they leave your home, this allows the crew to write down all of
the items packed and list the furniture items, at this point the items will be numbered (tagged) for additional security.
The reason for this is that once at destination you can check off the inventory/tag numbers against the items delivered.
Marine Insurance is coverage offered by a third party insurance company to cover your consignment on a door-door basis,
